Geneva 2 Davos 1 SO

Davos suffered in Geneva the third defeat of the season. In an intense game with two strong goalies Davos lost against Geneva with a convincing 1:2 after penalty shoot-out. Servette was almost unrecognizable compared to the last game against Lausanne (1:4) . From Davos was not too much to see for a long time.

The focus of the game was with the two goalies. Both Genoni(39 saves) and Tobias Stephan(27 saves) managed a superb performance. Stephan stopped everything in the end of the second period when Davos had is strongest phase.

Biel 6 Zug 5 SO

In a high-scoring game with opportunities for both teams, the victory was finally for home team. For the fifth time in the seventh home game at Biel the winner was decided in the penalty shoot-out.

The two coaches Kevin Schläpfer (Biel) and Doug Shedden ( Zug) are likely to have a few more gray hairs after the game. At the "night of the open gates" the two teams delivered an offensive festival. Thanks to a bad Zug's defense in neutral zone, Biel, the weakest offensive team in the league, scored five goals for the first time this season .

For the penalty shootout  Schläpfer(Biel) brought back Meili(who previously was chased from the game at 3:4). The young goalie deflected three penalty shots and give home team the extra point. Biel is still undefeated at home in regular time.

Fribourg 3 Zürich 2

The playoff finalist from last season defeated the ZSC Lions in a high-class game 3:2 for a perfect record in the last 6 games(18 points).

At the end Fribourg must thank Benny Plüss for his two goals saturday night. The game was dominated by home team, however, the efficiency in front of the net was not the best. Fribourg had to suffer until the end and in final minute Guillaume Latendresse failed to tied the game.

In the second duel between the two teams this year came out some memories of the semi-final series from last year. The intensity was always present.
