Luleå and Linköping move ahead of HV71

A full round of Elitserien was played last night. HV71 lost its first game of the season and went down from first to third place in the standings. Linköping's Carl Söderberg continues to score.

 
 
 
 
HV71 lost 3-1 against MODO away in Örnsköldsvik. This was HV's first loss of this season and the team lost the lead of the league to Luleå. In MODO the NHL lockout player Alexander Steen was the hero of the game. He assisted to Marcel Müller's 1-0 and Dave Spina's 2-0 and he scored 3-0 himself. David Petrasek scored HV71's goal late in the second period.

Luleå beat Frölunda 2-1 at home and took back the league lead. Both Luleå's goals were scored early. At 4:50 by Anton Hedman and at 05:54 by Toni Koivisto. Dick Axelsson scored Frölunda's goal in the middle of the second period. The game only saw 37 shots on goal. Twenty-two for Luleå and only fifteen for Frölunda.

Carl Söderberg scored another two goals for Linköping when AIK was beaten 4-2 in Hovet. Söderberg leads the league with 8 goals scored in 6 games. Robin Figren and Pär Arlbrandt also scored for LHC. Broc Little and Oscar Ahlström for AIK. AIK is still without a win in Elitserien.

Skellefteå beat the 2012 champion Brynäs 5-3. Erik Forssell and Melker Karlsson scored twice and Jimmie Ericsson once. For Brynäs Johan Harju scored two goals and Simon Bertilsson one.

Färjestad beat Timrå 4-1 away with goals by Marcus Paulsen and Anders Baastiansen in the second period and Christian Berglund and Mikael Johansson in the third. Christian Söderström scored Timrå's got on a 2-man advantage with only two minutes remaining.

The newcomer Rögle got an importand 3-1 win away to Växjö.Alexander Barta and Mathias Tjärnqvist scored in the first period and Viktor Lindgren in the second. Liam Reddox scored Växjö's goal with four minutes remaining of the game.
