MOL League 2012-2013 will expand

Important decisions were taken last Friday in a MOL League meeting held in Budapest. The competition will run from 2012-2013 on a full season, ie from the autumn to the end of March. In the regular season the teams will play 50-games, Play-off format will be decided later.

 
 
 
 
The teams participating in the meeting - Dab.Docler, Ferencvaros, Miskolc, Ujpest, HSC Csíkszereda, Corona Brasov and Steaua - have agreed to enlarge the competition with the entrance of new teams.

The following teams have applied to join the league: Partizan Beograd (SRB), HC Nové Zámky and HK 38 Dubnica (SVK), Dunarea Galati and Progym-VSK Csíkszereda, this latter a team formed by Progym Gheorgheni and HSC Csíkszereda farm team players. The final decision on participating teams will be taken on May 9.

Representatives from Serbia and Slovakia were also present at the meeting.
