Golden Kvapil-Klepis play

Two Czech players Marek Kvapil and Jakub Klepis organized the only goal scoring attack to end the KHL season for Dynamo Moscow.

Dynamo made a great comeback during the series winning three games in a row losing 3-1. The last game saw a lonely goal by Jakub Klepis that decided the winner of Gagarin Cup in the 2011/12 season.

Dynamo took game possession to the middle of the first period. The Moscow team created a two great moments, at one of them Denis Mosalyov fired off the bar in the situation when only defenseman sticks can stopped a puck to its way into the net. In the next attack Leonid Komarov's blast was stopped by Karri Rämö's leg. The first penalties in the game happened at 12:17 when Nikita Pivtsakin and Konstantin Volkov visited the penalty box for roughing. In 4-on-4 mode Avangard was closer than Dynamo to grab a lead.

A real PP happened in the middle of the second when Konstantin Volkov got two minutes for slashing. But Dynamo had a chance to score shorthanded when Konstantin Gorovikov robbed Roman Cervenka, went to offensive zone, came around defenseman and fired on Rämö's net. Avangard got the puck and started a siege on Yeryomenko's net. But Omsk can't avoid fast counter-attacks and flurries at goalie's crease. Anyway after two periods game score hadn't change from the start - 0-0.

At the start of the third Dynamo got a PP chance. 50 seconds after that Sergei Gusev followed Alexander Perezhogin to the penalty box. 70 seconds of Dynamo 5-on-3 play were successfully killed by Avangard lines. Marek Kvapil fed up a pass to Jakub Klepis who found himself alone at the goalie crease and with a repeat shot opened the scoring at 52:03. This goal decided the series and the season. Dynamo returned in the series losing 3-1 after 4 games and lifted up Gagarin Cup for first time in KHL history.
