The first stage of the Continental Cup was played September 24-26 in Jaca. Ankara University SK and Bat Yam HC were no problem for the host CH Jaca.

 
 
 
 

CH Jaca won both games against Bat Yam HC of Israel and Ankara University SK of Turkey to advance to the second stage of the Continental Cup. Energija Elektrenai of Lithuania was also supposed to participate in Jaca but they had to withdraw as their flight from Vilnius Airport was cancelled.

Jaca defeated Bat Yam 15-0 and Ankara 7-1. The game between Ankara and Bat Yam ended 8-3.

In the second round Jaca will play Tilburg Trappers (NED), Kohtla-Järve Viru Sputnik (EST) and Cracovia Krakow (POL) in Tilburg October 22-24.

The other group in the second stage consists of HDK Maribor (SLO), Dab Dunaujvaros (HUN), SC Miercurea Ciuc (ROU) and Sary-Arka Karaganda (KAZ).
