UAE - Thailand 3-0 (0-0,2-0,1-0)
After two consecutive silver medals, United Arab Emirates finally grab IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, bringing back the title after 3 years. UAE won the last title in 2009 beating Thailand 5-3 in the final. Then the Arabs lost in Taipei in 2010 and in Hong Kong last year. In front of 1100 spectators the teams played another good game, just as in the tournament opener. Best players - Tewin Chartsuwan and Juma Al Dhaheri - didn't score and so didn't the attacking lines. The game was decided by two goals from defenders in the second period: Mohamed Al Zaabi and Ebraheem Budebs gave UAE a double advantage. Thailand wasn't able to quickly reacts and Emirates scored the third decisive goal after 47 minutes with Obahid Al Muharrami. Shut-out and title of best goalie for Khaled Al Suwaidi. Well deserved title for UAE, with a 100% record and a history of constant progress in the tournament

In the bronze match Malaysia defeated Kuwait 5-3.
Malay forward Kin Ban Loke finished as Top Scorer with 27 points (16 goals and 11 assists) in 7 games.
