SKA 7-1 AtlantSKA showed a perfect game in the second game of second round at the West. Three goals during the first four minutes were unexpectable for Atlant who couldn't predict this blitzkrieg. Two great goals were scored by Vladimir Tarasenko who both times used mistakes from D-mans and beat Konstantin Barulin. One of three goals is on account of Petr Prucha who used a pass from Viktor Tikhonov. Already after 3:59 SKA was in the lead with 3-0. Makarov gave SKA a four goal lead with a shot from a sharp angle.
In the second period Barulin was substituted by Dmitry Kotschew who conceded a goal after three minutes of play. Tony Mårtensson was first on the rebound during a power-play. Atlant scored first goal in this series after 100 minutes without goals with Branko Radivojevic power-play finishing. At the end of the game SKA scored two more goal. SKA led 2:0 in the series and will go Mytischi to try to end it in four games.
Torpedo 3-2 OT DynamoAfter a goalless first game the second wasn’t so boring. Just like in a first game Dynamo opened the score. Mikhail Anisin with a nice wrist shot beat Torpedo goalie Vital Koval. But later in the period Torpedo scored their first goal of the series. Dmitry Makarov dished a nice pass to Jusso Hietanen which one-timer became a real problem for Alexander Yeryomenko. Alexander Yevseyenkov which mistake in last game helped Dynamo to earn a win pulled Torpedo ahead in the second with a nice blue line shot in power-play. Dynamo tied the game on a power-play when Dominik Granyak added a puck to the net after a rebound. The game was decided in overtime when Ilya Krikunov fed a pass to Vladimir Galuzin who tied the series with an accurate shot.
