After the victories in the first round, USA and Slovakia continue their perfect record beating Germany 8-0 (1-0,4-0,3-0) and Switzerland 3-1 (1-0,1-1,1-0) remaining at the top of standing and deciding the gold medal saturday in the decisive game. "This was a team effort all-around, from top to bottom," said Don Granato, head coach of the US Team. "The guys skated hard and our goaltending was sharp." Americans competes in Piestany with U17 squad, while other teams are U18. Notching two goals and one assist in game against Germany, forward Evan Allen is tournament top scorer with 3 goals and 3 assists in two games along with Slovakian Martin Reway. Also Dolny Kubin forward scored twice and served one assist in last game. Team USA is the defending champion in this event, having claimed the tournament title in 2011, curiously beating 2-1 Slovakia in decisive last game.
